The Copyright Permissions Center is a Division of Printing Services. Please visit the link above or one of the seven Printing Services locations throughout campus for all your photocopying or printing needs.

Course packets are collections of articles
and/or book chapters compiled by instructors to supplant or accompany
traditional textbooks. Instructors wishing to use a course packet
for their course would first submit their list of citations to our
office and deliver original copies to the appropriate Printing
Services Copy Center. The Copyright Permissions Center notifies
the Copy Center when the permission process is complete and the center
then produces the packets and delivers them to the appropriate University
Bookstore for distribution to students.
The Copyright Permissions Center, Printing
Services Copy Centers, and the University of Minnesota Bookstores
have formed a partnership designed to offer students the convenience
of one-stop shopping. All course packets cleared by the Copyright
Permissions Center and produced by Printing Services Copy Centers
are sold through the following bookstore locations:

availability of your packet at the bookstore, please contact the appropriate
bookstore directly.
Fees
Royalty fees are set by the publisher and may vary greatly. However, you will be sent a pdf itemizing royalty costs before packets are printed. Of course, you are free to cancel or amend any item you choose.
The Copyright Permissions Center is
a nonprofit service of the University of Minnesota. To cover operating
costs, a nominal service fee is assessed for processing copyright
permissions requests. This fee is in addition to any royalties that
may be assessed by rightsholders. For course packets produced by Printing
Services Copy Centers, the fee is based on the number of requests
in each packet as follows:
